Volunteer Opportunities
ConnectPoint is driven by God, but we're fueled by volunteers. Every weekend, awesome people come together to use their gifts and talents to make Jesus famous.
By volunteering, you'll meet others who want to make a difference in their community. We've broken it down to five groups with different areas to serve in each group.
The following is a list of volunteer opportunities at ConnectPoint.
Hospitality
Greeter Team Be a friendly face at key places around the campus and answer questions as needed. As needed, you will hand out Connection cards or other information as people enter the service.
Usher Team Responsible for greeting guests, assisting with seating, distributing Bibles and collecting the offering. Help families navigate through the building, and guide them to the Sunday School check-in.
Campus Security Team Help create a safe environment during the services.
Welcome Center Assist with event registration, and provide information as needed for guests and regular attenders.
Creative Arts
Audio Team This team is in charge of setting up and operating audio production Wednesdays and Sundays. It consists of audio technicians, monitor mixer, and audio assistants. Experience is ideal; training provided.
Equipment Care Team This team is in charge of loading in and out all equipment used during our services. This team includes setup, stage manager, and tear down.
Lighting Team This team handles the setup, operation and tear down of all the lighting equipment. This team consists of lighting director and lighting assistants.
Creative Worship Team This team consists of musicians, vocalists, actors and specialty artists.
Operations
Set-up Team Arrive early to set up all aspects of Sunday morning.
Tear-down Team Stay late after the final service to break down all aspects of our Sunday service.
Children
Point Kids Volunteer Team Tons of silly fun! You never know what to expect when walking in to our Beginner environment each Sunday. Our 3-9 year old environment involves worship time, game time, and some random stuff to keep the kids on the edge of their seats. Come help us make a difference in the life of a kid as we share Christ in a real and tangible way.
Journey Volunteer team Our Journey class is for those 10-13 years of age. Again, based on scripture, these young people will experience innovative teaching and age specific activities every Sunday. Come help us teach those transitioning into the teen years.
Nursery A very integral ministry at ConnectPoint. Plenty of activities and biblical experiences for children ages 0 to 3 years of age.
Security measures All teachers and volunteers must be members of ConnectPoint and submit to a background check, if working with Children.
C.A.R.E.
This ministry encompasses our care for the members of Connectpoint. Everything from hospital visits, to follow up calls, and meal delivery. The acronym C.A.R.E stands for: Connection, Accountability, Resources, Encouragement.
